Newcastle United are closer to landing striker Hugo Ekitike before the deadline passes this evening, with Fabrizio Romano claiming that the striker is set to fly to England shortly.
The Mags have tracked Ekitike all winter and now finally appear to be a position to announce his signing. The young striker is one of the hottest properties in Europe, and will give Eddie Howe and Newcastle an immediate boost to their starting XI.
Reports this morning had suggested that a deal was close for Ekitike. And now, Romano has taken to Twitter to suggest the young striker is set to fly over the channel today.
