Tottenham Hotspur could be in for a busy old day of transfer activity as the deadline looms ever closer for Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici.
Deals to bring in Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski are all but done. The Juventus duo will add depth and quality to the Spurs squad and Conte is said to be pleased with the signings. However, the Spurs boss wants more before the close of play tonight, and has apparently told Paratici what his priority is.
According to The Mirror, Conte has told Paratici to go and get him a new right-back. It’s claimed this is the priority position for Conte, who is happy to postpone the search for a new left-sided centre-back as long as the club can deliver a replacement for Emerson Royal.
Royal himself was only signed in the summer. However, Conte is believed to be unimpressed with the Brazilian and has made it clear from the outset he’d prefer a new name at right-back. The club have also been linked with a move for Djed Spence on deadline day. As reported on TBR, both Spurs and Arsenal want the Middlesbrough star.

TBR’s View: Busy Day Ahead For Tottenham
There are likely to be ins and outs at the club today and Fabio Paratici’s phone will no doubt be going almost every minute.
It’s a big day though for Tottenham. The additions of Kulusevski and Bentancur are good ones but there surely has to be at least one more new face arrive to consider this window a success.
In terms of a new right-back, well, it’s not so easy to just find one. Spurs thought they were upgrading on Doherty when they signed Emerson, but that hasn’t gone well at all. The risk really is they bring another one in, and he again isn’t quite good enough. Put simply, the next signing in this position has to be right.
