After a day of going back and forth when it comes to a deal for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, it seems a deal to take the Gabon star to Spain might be back on.
Reports heading into this evening seemed to suggest a deal had collapsed. Barca’s president, Joan Laporta, had been speaking about the deal but the expectation was that nothing would happen. Arsenal are digging their heels over his salary, and want it paid in full, or subsidised from Aubameyang somehow.
But while it might have looked off just hours ago, it now seems things are back on. According to Sky Sports, Laporta has now said to Spanish TV that ‘it looks like we will do it’ when asked about a deal for Aubameyang.
That would suggest that a deal is now close for Aubameyang to finally leave Arsenal. It would also suggest the striker has come to an agreement with Barcelona about his wages. It remains to be seen if the Gunners clarify this any further.

Aubameyang has been tipped to leave since the window opened. Having fallen out with Mikel Arteta, the striker has yet to come back into the picture. The final nail in the coffin appeared to be his exclusion from the trip to Dubai this week.
