Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been putting his players through their paces in Dubai these last few days.
Last week, the Gunners jetted off to the UAE for a warm-weather camp.
With Arsenal not in action for another week, Arteta has plenty of time to fine-tune preparations.
The Gunners endured a difficult January on the pitch, failing to win a single game.
Arsenal also dropped out of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, losing to Championship Nottingham Forest in the latter.
Hopefully these last few days will see the Gunners recharged and ready to return to form in the league.
There certainly seems to be some good camaraderie in the training camp.
On Thursday afternoon, the Arsenal media team shared a video of one of Arteta’s drills.
Arteta told his players they had to get to the halfway line keeping the ball off the ground.
Unsurprisingly, they weren’t allowed to use their hands.
And the last one to get there would have to pay for everyone’s breakfast when back at Colney.
Academy defender Alex Kirk finished last in the drill, prompting Arteta to joke “Alex, you have to get your wallet out!”
A tad unfortunate for Kirk, but it’s just one of those things.
It’s great to see the 19-year-old joining Arsenal at their training camp in Dubai, testament to his talent and how much Arteta rates him.
Kirk is yet to make his senior Gunners debut but it’ll be good to see how he progresses in the coming seasons.
